The Mortgage Lab adopted CoreLogic’s PropertyHub and RPNZ platforms so they could better serve their clients. The information available from PropertyHub and RPNZ assists their advisers in providing greater support to their clients and minimising bank turnaround times, helping them achieve their goal of making the mortgage application process as stress-free as possible.

1. The Challenge

The Mortgage Lab is a brokerage firm serving the whole of New Zealand. To support their current growth phase, they wanted to find ways to make the home-buying journey as stress-free as possible for their clients. 

Lengthy bank turnaround times are often one of the major pain points in this process. The Mortgage Lab wanted to reduce these delays by providing as much information as possible to banks when submitting loan applications.
 

2. The Approach

CoreLogic delivered a solution that would enable the Mortgage Lab to develop its property information hub using two powerful tools: PropertyHub and RPNZ. 

With RPNZ, advisers can key in an address to search for a property on their mobile or desktop. In moments, they can source a wealth of data about the property’s characteristics, history and value. 

PropertyHub allows the broker to place valuation orders through CoreLogic’s panel. The platform can provide property valuations which are compliance-checked against the Residential Valuation Standing Instructions, giving advisers and clients more confidence that the valuation will be approved.
 

3. The Outcome

PropertyHub and RPNZ have given the Mortgage Lab team access to an incredibly rich property data universe. They can now see what’s happening across the New Zealand property market, so they support their clients like never before. 

Even with the social distancing restrictions imposed by COVID-19, RPNZ and PropertyHub have made it easy for Mortgage Lab advisers to share their research findings with their clients via videoconferencing. The team are excited about the possibilities this presents for writing business remotely or when they’re on the go. 

Thanks to CoreLogic, the Mortgage Lab now has the tools they need to share valuable property insights with their clients to inform their purchase decisions.
