The latest research from Auckland Cityscope shows that property sales value have increased over the past three months. 

In the three months to November 2019, there were 34 sales for a total of $328.2 million, as compared to the 24 sales for a total of $107.6 million recorded for the three months to August 2019. The latest data brings the total sales for the 12 months to $895.3 million, a significant decrease from the $2.169 billion in sales recorded to the same time last year.

Notable sales in November 2019 update of Auckland Cityscope include: 

  • Chorus House at 66 Wyndham Street, Auckland Central
    A 23-storey office building comprising 19 levels of office space, one level of retail space and a 3-level basement car park for 191 vehicles, with a new podium retail space and end of trip facilities added in 2018. The property has a net lettable area of 22,489 sqm on a 3,304 sqm piece of land and was sold for $144.5 million through Metcom Realty Limited; 
  • Big Albert Building at 87 Albert Street, Auckland Central
    An office building of 11 storeys plus two basement parking levels for 58 cars, with curtain wall glazing, completed in 1986, with a net lettable a rea of 7,210 sqm, which was sold for $34.3 million on an initial yield of 3.31% through Barfoot & Thompson Commercial and 
  • Hotel De Brett at 2-4 High Street, Auckland Central
    Built circa 1926, a 3-storey building comprising ground floor retail space, rooms above and a basement, refurbished in 1984 and the upper floors converted to a backpackers hotel in 1997. The building has a gross floor area of 2,449 sqm, which sold for approximately $30.173 million.

    A 2-storey building with a total area of 1,565 sqm, basement and outside parking for 50 cars, refurbished in 2005, which is for sale through Colliers International NZ and
  • The fifth floor at 50 Kitchener Street, Auckland Central
