It has been a turbulent few weeks for CoreLogic and our clients, partners, vendors and suppliers as we work together to take on the ’once-in-a-century’ challenge of responding to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

We will look back on the first half of 2020 as being a period in our lives where everything seemed to shift off its axis. We are in a time where COVID-19 is reshaping the way our world is interconnected, from how we conduct business to how we live our lives.  We are beginning to understand what a global pandemic potentially means for our countries, our businesses and our families.  What makes this shared experience so challenging is that at the moment we have more unknowns than knowns and this is what makes us feel uncomfortable and sometimes anxious as human beings. What is needed most in these uncertain times is clarity.

To that end, we have been focused on making sure we are doing everything possible to ensure we protect the health and wellbeing of our staff, clients and the wider community, whilst maintaining our high levels of support and service.  Above all, our CORE values of Clients First, Ownership, Respect and Engagement are our compass in these difficult times and I am very proud to see our values come to life each day of this crisis.

We understand that this global pandemic brings significant impacts for our clients across all segments we work with. It is a very tough time. We are committed to partnering with you through this crisis by providing practical support to your business through our data and insights and by finding creative new ways to work together.

We are working with many of you across the key industries we serve, including our real estate, financial institutions, insurance companies, government agencies and property owners to help overcome the many challenges together. Thank you for those of you who have and continue to engage with us; we value the feedback about how we can assist your business during these times. We are also collaborating with many of the industry bodies who work with and represent you in the property ecosystem to ensure we are collectively bringing solutions to ensure continuity of business where possible.

  • Using remote digital valuation solutions to replace onsite inspections, including a customer portal that allows occupiers of the property to video stream and also add images 
  • Regular reporting on Automated Value Model (AVM) performance 
  • Increasing the number of usable AVMs available
  • Working with regulatory bodies to ensure industry standards are met while making more inspections types possible.

Assistance to government

Our data and insights are already shedding light on macro-economic trends, helping to inform government policy-making, and to shape long-term planning on the pandemic. That assistance is going to continue as we maintain our advisory role with key policy and decision makers in government and speak with government clients about developing solutions that will help them navigate the coming months. We are committed to providing data as quickly as possible to government agencies heavily involved in the COVID-19 response and recovery.
