The labour force participation rate eased slightly to 71.0% in Q4 2017 after peaking in Q3 2017 at 71.1% and the unemployment rate dropped further to 4.5% - the lowest since 2008.

For an employment lead significant correction in the housing market to occur, there would have to be a turnaround in employment with people unable to pay mortgages or rent.
